Partner - Chief Executive Officer, Boaz Capital Group
I am the Founder and Senior Advisor of Boaz Capital Group with more than 40 years’ experience in the trades, real estate, and lending markets. I have made it my mission to present the members of Boaz with a balance between business education and solid biblical principles. My long term goal is in to raise up a generation that is capable of teaching their children financial freedom principles while leading a God honoring life.
As I served in the United States Marines I did tours of duty in Vietnam, Washington D.C., and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba which taught me discipline and stamina under fire (and to keep my head down). After military service I mastered the trade of carpet installer before quickly moving on to open and run a full service floorcovering store that taught me business and management skills. At the same time, myself, my dad, and my brother bought and flipped properties for short-term profits or holds for long-term capital gains and cash flow. I have continued working and learning in the real estate field until the present.
Meanwhile, at 50 years old, desiring to serve others I entered collage full time where I studied for the next 12 years. I earned (or some say more than earned) a master degree in counseling from The Master’s College & Seminary. More than providing me with an extensive research and communications capability, I was given a firm grounding in spiritual and moral Christian principles.
After all my studies I am convinced that making money is not the most important part of life, but, mismanaging it can rob one of life itself. With just a little education on managing family funds you can be free to enjoy life. I hope that this company will grow to the point that it will help hundreds, if not thousands, to understand these basic and simple principles.
Giving God, through Jesus Christ all the Glory.
Partner - Director, Boaz Capital Group
I am a partner in Boaz Capital Group and have been from its inception. I have been mentored by Joseph Ryan in both spiritual as well as all most every aspect of real estate and lending for more than ten years. After serving in the U.S. Army in the field of avionics I continued in my field working at Avionics Repair Station while completing my college education in Southern California.
Being committed to my goal of serving the community with excellence, I have been licensed to sell insurance for several years attending ongoing classes on different types of insurance investment vehicles. Over the past several years I have also studied real estate under such people as Robert Kiyosaki covering such subjects as Wholesale Buying, Property Management & Cash Flow, Creative Real Estate Financing, Rehabbing Properties, and Tax & Asset Protection while also working as a licensed California Realtor. In 2014 I teamed up with Joseph to do trust deed investing starting Boaz Capital Group after listening to George Antone teach on the benefits of being a private lender.
Note by Joseph Ryan: George brings one other asset to Boaz Capital Group, heart. He sacrificially serves his family taking care of his mother with Alzheimer’s disease every day. He is a role model for our team in serving them as well as his clients with determination and integrity at every point.
Partner - Chief Investment Officer, Boaz Capital Group
I am a member of Boaz Capital Group having been mentored under Joseph Ryan for the past twenty years in many aspects of real estate and spiritual matters. I earned my B.S. degree in Biochemistry from California State University, Northridge in 2004 and have since worked as a chemist for research companies such as Amgen, Baxter Biosciences, NuSil Technology, etc. I was married to my wife Elizabeth in 2001 and have 3 wonderful children. As a deacon at Grace Bible Church of Bakersfield, I lead a variety of ministries and oversee small groups of members of the church. My family and I were born and raised in the Los Angeles county and now reside in Bakersfield, California.
My primary driving force to obtaining a certain amount of passive income is to be able to walk away from my career as a chemist and devote my entire workweek to my ministry responsibilities and to build my company. I am not at all interested in a comfortable lifestyle or obtaining material possessions, but to be given the opportunity to change lives by teaching and mentoring families on how to create and maintain a solid financial foundation.
When I first learned about private lending and its strategies, I was instantly hooked. This WAS the vehicle that could move me toward achieving that goal. After reading The Wealthy Code and The Banker’s Code multiple times over, I began my educational journey to obtaining passive income through Trust Deed Investing. It is along this path that I am devoted to building a future for Boaz Capital Group.
